TOWSON, Md. – If the names Juniata College and Susquehanna University volleyball sound familiar, they should, as the two teams will square off for the 10th time in 13 years in the 2019 Landmark Conference Volleyball Championship.
However, the championship has one slight change. The Eagles hit the road as the No. 2 seed and traveling to No. 1 Susquehanna for the first time since joining the Landmark in 2007.
Juniata has won all its meetings against Susquehanna in the championship match and is making its 13th appearance. Overall, JC is making their 39th appearance in a championship, dating back to their time in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
The River Hawks earned a trip to their 10th championship and will host the final for the first time since joining the Landmark as the No. 1 seed. In the last nine meetings, Susquehanna has come up short to Juniata.
Susquehanna has momentum going into Saturday, riding a four-game winning streak, including a 3-2 win over Juniata in the regular season finale.
Admission to the championship match is $7 for adults and $4 for seniors (62 and older) and non-Landmark Conference students. Children ages 10 and under are admitted free of charge, as are all Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff with their school ID.
