Goucher junior Tetsuya Ota went 3-0 in his first week of competition in the spring, but may have had his biggest win of his collegiate career with a three-set win against the No. 14 player in NCAA Division III. Ota earned a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win against Salisbury's Alec Angredi, who is ranked No. 14 in NCAA Division III and No. 2 in the Atlantic South Region. Ota also went 2-1 in doubles with new teammate Brian Kane. The duo beat Virginia Wesleyan 8-5 on Saturday and then won by the same score against Methodist before falling to Salisbury 8-2.
