INDIANAPOLIS -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released its 24-team NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship field late Sunday evening. Elizabethtown, champion of the Landmark Conference, will host North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) champion Kenyon College, in a first round game Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Wolf Field.

Additional details, including game time and preview, are forthcoming.

The Blue Jays (14-4) are one of 16 teams competing in eight first-round games on campus sites Wednesday. The eight first-round winners, along with the eight teams that received a first-round bye, will compete at four campus sites during second/third-round play, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12 and 13.

Elizabethtown and Kenyon (14-6) received two of 18 automatic berths into the tournament as champions of their respective conferences. The Jays and Ladies will be meeting for the first time.

Elizabethtown will appear in its 10th NCAA tournament all-time and first since 2006. In their last trip to the national tournament, the Blue Jays defeated Lynchburg, 1-0, on Wolf Field in an opening round game before falling to The College of New Jersey, 5-0 in the second round.

Kenyon locked up its spot in the NCAA tournament with Saturday's 2-1 overtime win against DePauw University in the NCAC tournament final. The Ladies' last NCAA appearance came in 2014. They hosted Messiah College in the first round and suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Salisbury University awaits Wednesday's Elizabethtown/Kenyon winner. The Sea Gulls (16-1) will host a second-round game Saturday.
