Why did you choose to attend Drew University?
I chose Drew because it was close to home and I knew it would challenge me academically.
What does it mean to you to be a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
Being an NCAA Division III athlete in my eyes is an accomplishment. My goal everyday is to work hard to make myself better and to make my teammates better.
What has been the greatest part of your experience as a college athlete so far?
The greatest part of my experience as a college athlete so far would be breaking the defensive save record at Drew and being ranked No. 1 in the country for defensive saves my freshman and sophomore year!
What was your most embarrassing sports moment?
My most embarrassing sports moment was probably when I was dribbling up the field on a breakaway and then tripped over nothing!
Who has been the most influential person during your athletic career?
The most influential person during my athletic career is my dad. My Dad is my biggest fan! The hours that he has put into taking me to practice and private lessons all those years is what got me to where I am now. Before every game my dad sends me a text saying, “Play like a champion today!" Those few words give me the motivation to play hard. He inspires me every day to be the best I can be.
Do you have any pregame/pre-even rituals? If so, what are they?
My pre game ritual is usually with my dad. He sends me the “Play like a champion today” text and I send back, “Thanks Dad, I will!"
Who was your favorite athlete as a child and why?
My favorite athlete as a child was Cal Ripken. My family and I used to go every year to Baltimore to see him play. I have some of the best memories as a child there.
What is something most people do not know about you?
Most people don’t know that I am really into rap music!
How did you get involved in your sport?
I saw a flyer out for a field hockey clinic in my town so my parents let me try it. I went and I fell in love with the sport! I made my dad take me right to the sports store to get a bag for my sticks and some field hockey balls so that we could hit around outside.
