Catholic Field Hockey to Host Messiah for NCAA First Round

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference champion Catholic field hockey team learned its NCAA Tournament fate late Sunday night. The No. 20 Cardinals will host No. 15 Messiah on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Catholic won its third straight Landmark Conference title on Saturday, earning the 2-0 shutout over Scranton. Maura Campbell tallied a goal and an assist in the contest to help the Cardinals earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

The Messiah Falcons are appearing in their 13th-consecutive NCAA Championship Tournament, and this year enter as the automatic qualifier from the Commonwealth Conference after earning a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over Elizabethtown College over the weekend.

The Cardinals will offer live video and stats of Wednesday's contest.
