Landmark Announces Players of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has released the Players of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

Offensive Player of the Week
Emily Novakovich
Susquehanna (Fr., F, Saratoga, Calif.)

Novakovich scored two game-winning goals this week as Susquehanna defeated Wilkes and Scranton. She notched the second Crusader goal in a 2-1 win over Wilkes in the 17th minute of play on Tuesday and followed up with the game-winner on Saturday in the 46th minute over the Royals.
   
Defensive Player of the Week
Margaret Ruth
Susquehanna (Sr., GK, Lewisberry, Pa.)

Ruth allowed just two goals in 140 minutes in goal as Susquehanna went 2-0 this week. She finished with 19 saves including 15 stops in a 2-1 Landmark win against Scranton. Ruth finished the week with a 1.00 goals against average and .905 save percentage.

Notes:
Drew was ranked No. 20 in the NFHCA poll this week. Drew, Juniata and Susquehanna earned Landmark wins on Saturday. Drew, Juniata and Catholic clinched playoff spots. Scranton and Susquehanna are fighting for the final spot. Susquehanna would need to win on Saturday and have Moravian and Scranton lose out.
